With the decision made earlier this year to increase our #AyjayChallenge25 fundraising target, Ayjay Group staff have once again risen to the occasion. Two events have been held so far this month, which have helped us reach a new milestone of £5000.00! With some big events already pencilled in throughout the summer, we are on our way to reaching our target of £12,500.

Quizmas success at Ayjay House

Joined by our friends from CB Refrigeration and led by Quiz Master and CB Technical Consultant Nick Franzen. The quiz saw more than 20 players take part, all vying for the mystery prize. Over eleven rounds players put their knowledge to the test, but there could only be one winner… or so we thought! In a unique twist, Ayjay Engineer Adam Hayden took first prize with Mentall Marketing’s Ieuan-Rhys Beal stealing second, but it was Ieuan who took the mystery prize with Adam walking away with his winners certificate.

Thanks to the incredible engagement of both Ayjay and CB staff, we were able to raise £130.00 for our three chosen charities – The RNLI, St. David’s Hospice Care, and The Prince’s Trust.

Andy’s Veguary Challenge levels up

After nearly three successful weeks of vegetarian living and surpassing his £200 target, Managing Director Andrew Hall will be taking the challenge further as he plans to go vegan for the final week of February. Andy, along with CB Refrigeration’s Managing Director Tom Hannaby have both lived the vegetarian lifestyle so far this month, but after setting his target Andy wanted to really challenge himself in the final week.

“The past few weeks have been a real challenge for Tom and I, but we have worked together and meal prepped to ensure we stick to our plan which has been a great. Working together through this and trying meal options I wouldn’t traditionally go for has been exciting, and who knows some of them may become permanent fixtures for us both. This next week is going to be the real test, but I know it’s a challenge I’m ready to beat.” Managing Director Andrew Hall

We’re all ‘rooting’ for you, Andy!

Six Nations celebrations in Cardiff

Wales produced a resurgent performance on Saturday as they put Scotland to the sword with a dogged display, but it was  Ayjay Group once again rose to the occasion in Cardiff to further support our chosen charities. Ayjay Directors joined by colleagues from across the business, managed to raise an incredible £280.00 through some traditional matchday games and challenges.

“Andrew, Craig and I continue to be overwhelmed by the support and enthusiasm shown by our staff to be a part of this amazing fundraising journey. We are now nearly half way to our fundraising goal and we still have plans-a-plenty that will ensure we reach our £12,500 target. The recent Quizmas event shows that you don’t need to go over the top to raise funds. Nick did a wonderful job as Quizmaster, and we hope this leads to a few more people coming forward with some new and exciting ideas.” Operations Director Simon Beament
